Finance/Support[]

The green works with the Life for a Life charity and received a £10K grant from the National Lottery Community Fund in 2022.[2]

The Green has also worked with other organisations also with help from Life for a Life charity and has planted 73 trees for The Queen's Green Canopy in celebration of The Platinum Jubilee 2022.

We planted five apples trees gifted by Thatchers for our Community Orchid and they appear to be enjoying there new home, right now.

Most recently we planted 100 trees as part of The Coronation Celebrations May 8th 2023. The trees where planted at our a Treebilation event, which was part of our Coronation Celebrations.

Those who planted a tree on the day could assign a name to the tree be that there own or another name. The trees where also planted to welcome our new Majesties and to be part of The Big Help Out. A presentation of this event will be making it's way to The Palace, as it should.

In 12 months we have planted 173 trees, gifted to us by The Woodland Trust and we have held community events to engage people in our tree planting events, whilst working with other partners. All for the greater good, we believe, for the environment, for nature and for our future.
